Taranaki Falls, Tongariro National Park, New Zealand

Obwohl das Wetter im Tongariro National Park nicht immer das beste war und es auch an diesem Tage stark regnete gelangen mir hier doch einige der ansehnlichsten Shots auf dem ganzen Trip. Dieses Foto von den Taranaki Falls, welche ungefähr 45 Gehminuten vom Whakapapa Village entfernt zu finden sind, ist eines meiner Lieblingsfotos.

Ich hatte auch hier mit einer einfachen Belichtung ohne Filter angefangen und das Ergebnis überzeugte mich nicht. Das Wasser war zu hart und zu sehr eingefroren. Die Mächtigkeit des Wasserflusses lies sich dem Foto nicht entnehmen. Abhilfe schaffte auch hier, wie so oft, der LEE Big Stopper, mit dem ich problemlos 30 Sekunden bei Blende 8 belichten konnte.

Ich liebe die Farben in dem Bild. Alles wirkt so harmonisch. Dieser Moment an diesem wundervollen Ort war einer der besten Augenblicke in Neuseeland.

Ich würde mich wirklich sehr darüber freuen dieses Bild bei dem ein oder anderen als Print hinter Acrylglas an der Wand zu sehen!

Although the weather wasn’t the best in Tongariro National Park and it rained a lot on this day, I brought some of the best shots home from this place. This picture of the Taranaki Falls located about 45 minutes away from Whakapapa Village is seriously one of my favourite shots.

I started with an exposure without using the ND filter but the result was not satisfying. The water looked hard and frozen with no sign of the movement of the water. I decided to use my big stopper again which allowed me to do a 30 seconds exposure.

I love the colour in the picture. Everything is so harmonic. This moment on this place was one of my best moments in New Zealand.

I would love to see this picture printed big and hung to a wall of your living room.
